“Afterlight” explores the moment when a fixed identity begins to loosen, making room for something more self-authored. The work moves through tension and release, using layered form and atmosphere to reflect the experience of stepping beyond expectations and into a more deliberate sense of self.
Rather than presenting transformation as a single breakthrough, I think of it here as a gradual shift—one shaped by uncertainty, memory, and the residue of earlier conditions. The piece holds on to that in-between space, where the old is not fully gone, and the new is only beginning to take shape.
